Dallas is located in the state of Texas and it is the third most populated city in the state and the largest metropolitan area in Texas. Its airport is the third largest of the world and the main of the state. The city was founded in 1841 by John Neely Bryan in 1846 and it became part of the United States. Its major industry is based on information technology and is home of numerous telecommunication companies.

The Arts District in downtown includes the Dallas Museum of Art, Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, the Trammell & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, and the Dallas Museum of Art. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza has information about President John F. Kennedy’s murder, and the Meadows Museum has a collection of Spanish art. You can also find the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

If you want something more natural in Dallas, you can go to Klyde Warren Park or take your children to Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden. You can also visit Dallas Zoo and Dallas World Aquarium. For sporting events, the city of Dallas features the Dallas American Airlines Center, home of the NBA Dallas Mavericks and the NHL Dallas Stars, as well as the AT&T Cotton Bowl Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

For shopping, you can visit The Galleria with more than 200 shops and restaurants or Highland Park Village.

Some of the festivities that take place in the city of Dallas include Shen Yun in January, which presents classical Chinese dances; Pilobolus, a contemporary performance, also in January; the Annual Festival of Black Dance in February and March; St. Patrick's Day; and Savor Dallas, featuring the best chefs. The International Film Festival of Dallas and Taste of Dallas, a culinary event, take place in this city in April and June, respectively.
