Description

Marvel at the architecture of the historic center of Guadalajara and buy handicrafts in Tlaquepaque

Ideal for: Families, Couples, Adults.

Visit two of the cities that are part of the wonderful places in the west of Mexico. Admire the architecture of the city of Guadalajara by visiting the historic center, full of colonial buildings such as the cathedral, which stands out for its Neo-Gothic needle towers built in 1561, with a stained glass window of the Last Supper in its interior; and Teatro Degollado, a theater from the 19th century built in a neoclassical style with Italian influence, whose construction lasted 11 years.

You will also visit the main square, where you can listen to serenades several days a week; Liberation Square, formed by colonial buildings that occupy two blocks, and the Cabañas Cultural Institute, where plays, dances and musical events are held. You will see the roundabout of Jaliscienses Ilustres, a monument comprising 20 bronze sculptures honoring architects, writers, composers and leading scientists of Guadalajara.

Walk along Liberty Market, better known as San Juan de Dios, the largest in Latin America with approximately 3,000 shops, where you will find a variety of articles and typical food. Finally, you will visit the heart of Tlaquepaque, a colonial village that is characterized by its cobbled streets, crafts, and traditional food.
