Description

Discover a natural wonder surrounded by beautiful landscapes

Ideal for: Families, Couples, Adults, Children.

The Pacaya Volcano, part of the Central American Volcanic Arc, is located in a small town that belongs to the department of Escuintla, Amatitlan y Villa Canales. This natural wonder is one of the most important tourist attractions of this town. In 2005, the Pacaya Volcano was declared a National Park, making it a popular attraction nationally and internationally. This tour is recommended for adventure and nature lovers who will also admire Lake Amatitlan from above.

The tour begins with a visit of San Vicente Pacaya where you can stroll around the streets and enjoy beautiful sights. Additionally, you will visit paths that border the volcano, including the Calderas Lagoon, designated with this name because it was originated in a cauldron-shaped area formed by the collapse of land around a volcano.

The adventure continues as you travel through these natural paths upwards until you reach the plateau and see the impressive crater of this volcano. When active, the Pacaya Volcano offers a continuous spectacle of ash clouds and lava flows. You will remain on the volcano for about 15 minutes as a closure to a visit that will certainly be an unforgettable experience.
